My dad went to my blog the other day and said I had not posted anything new recently. Let's see how long it takes him to notice I post something new!

Living in Houston has been incredibly difficult. I miss my friends and my family. I miss living next door to my mom and dad. I am thankful for how much my parents do for my family. I enjoy going back to visit and spending almost all of our time at my parents house. I love watching my grandchildren play at their Grandma and Grandpa's house.

Olivia is in the beginning stages of crawling. She moves her legs, just hasn't gotten the pattern of moving her arms yet. Landon did the army crawl, so maybe she will too. We are struggling to get Olivia to gain weight. She is long and skinny, but absolutely adorable. I love how Landon and Olivia are starting to play together with the same toys. Olivia loves playing toy cars with Landon :)

2 months old

Wow! Olivia turned two months old today. So much has happened these past few weeks. Aaron and I went house hunting on the 21st of February. We looked at 7 different houses, and decided to buy the second one we looked at. I am not really looking forward to the move. I am so accustomed to living next door to my parents. It will be a drastic change. Landon loves going over to my parents house. I love going over there too. Growing up, I had the chance to have both sets of my grandparents live next door to our home. I am sad that Landon will not have the same blessing that I did by living so close to his grandparents. I am sure that we will come visit once a week, if not more in the beginning. Our expected closing date on the new house is on the 25th of March.
Olivia does not sleep much during the day. She loves to be held. She can be fast asleep in your arms but the moment you even think about putting her down, she wakes up. She sleeps at night really well. Last week she slept 3 nights in a row without waking up. She is a happy baby. She has been smiling for several weeks now. Olivia was blessed on the 27th. She cried the entire time during her blessing. My family was able to be there, except for Spencer, because it was also the same weekend as my Grandpa's 85th birthday party. It was fun to have everyone in town. Landon loved playing with all of his cousins. I will hate not being able to be next door to my moms when family comes to visit them.
Landon will be turning two this month! He is full of personality. He loves to be silly and make people laugh. He also likes to test my patience. Then when I start to try to discipline him, he gives me his silly smile to make me laugh. Last Sunday, he was playing with Aaron in Aaron's parents front yard. Landon ran over to Olivia gave her a quick kiss then ran off to play again. He is such a great big brother. I love watching the two interact. Landon's favorite movie is Cars. He wakes up in the morning and runs to our room saying "cars, cars". I had originally started to plan a Thomas the Train party for him, but since he started to become obsessed with Cars, thought that maybe he would want a different party theme. Aaron and I took him to Toysrus to pick out his party supplies and I gave him the choice between Cars and Thomas the Train. He actually picked out Thomas. I am excited for his party.

This past month has been very interesting. Aaron started his new job on January 10th. The night before Aaron started the job, Landon woke up in the middle of the night coughing. He continually got worse, so that Thursday we took him to the doctor. He tested positive for both the flu and RSV. My mom kept Olivia so that she would not be exposed to it any more, but I knew that she had already been exposed and would probably get sick. Well that next week, we had to bring her to the doctor and she tested positive for RSV. It was so sad listening to her have such a big, deep cough. Luckily we were able to keep her out of the hospital. I am blessed to have such a great mom and mother in law who have been a huge help this past month. I don't know how I will do it by myself whenever we move!

Landon learned how to say what the letters M and J say. We are trying to help him say his words clearer. He loves to play outside in his Lightening McQueen car. He also loves to play with sticks that he finds and to play in the dirt.

Olivia is just like her brother and a very easy baby. She sleeps at night from 10:30 to 3:00, eats and is up for around 20 min, then sleeps again till 6:30. She does not cry much during the day. On the night of the 28th, she slept all night.

Landon has started to share his food and drink with her. It will be a miracle if she does not taste "real food" before she is supposed to.

I feel blessed to be the mother to two amazing children.

Olivia Grace was born on January 3rd 2011. She weighed 7 pounds 13 oz and was 19 1/4 in long. When we left the hospital she had dropped down to 7 lbs 7 oz. At the dr office less than 3 days later she was 7 lbs 7 oz and 20 1/2 in long. I think they got her length wrong at the hospital. They measured her twice at the dr because of the big difference.
The labor was VERY long and slow. I started contracting Sunday night around midnight and the contractions began to be every 5 min apart soon after that. I wasn't absolutely sure that it was the real thing, although I was pretty sure. I just didn't want to get to the hospital for them to tell me that I wasn't really in labor and be sent home. Aaron finally convinced me to go at around 3:30. We woke Landon up and brought him to my moms house. The ride to hospital was not fun. The contractions got stronger and closer together. When we got the hospital they were every 2-3 min apart and I was dilated to almost a 4. The contractions stayed that close together for the majority of the day. I walked around the floor for a while and around 9 got my first dose of Nubain so that I could sleep. The contractions were not that bad but I knew I needed sleep because it would be a long day. I ended up getting 2 doses of Nubain throughout the day. The nubain puts me alseep within minutes. One of the times I took it, Aaron had just given me a cup of water and ice chips. Well I fell asleep and it dumped on me. I woke up instantly because it was so cold! Before noon I was at a 6, almost a 7 and we didn't think it would be much longer. But it took forever to get to a 10 from that point on. At 6 pm, my dr came in to check me and when he did my water broke. The contractions were unbearable at that point. I no longer had any pain medicine in my system. Luckily it only took 3 contractions and 5 or 6 pushes to get Olivia out! I was in so much pain all I could think about was to get her out so that I could have more pain meds. As soon as she was born they gave me the final dose of the nubain , which I regret. I do not remember much about Olivia's first moments. I do remember Landon walking into the room for the first time to see his little sister.
The first night we kept Olivia in the nursery so that I could get rest. The next day she spent the entire day in our room. I loved finally being able to hold and bond with her when I didn't have the drugged feeling. My mom brought Landon up to the hospital so that he could see Olivia again. He keeps calling her Cora, his cousin. My mom bought a plant and a balloon for us, that she says is from Landon :)
We got to go home on Wednesday. Landon has adjusted pretty well. He likes to help us throw away her diapers. He also likes to give her blankets and his Beevo blanket. Whenever she has a bottle, he wants his sippy cup. The first night home from the hospital was rough. She cried for a few hours. She wanted to be held while she slept, but I cant sleep when I am holding her because I am afraid I will drop her. I only got about 4 hours of asleep the entire day.
Thursday night went alot better. She only got up at 11:45, 2:30, and 6 to eat. She would eat and go right back to sleep.
Naptime is interesting with Landon now. He wakes up when she starts to cry and wont go back to sleep.
On Friday he was still adjusting well. She spit her pacifier out when we were in his room, so he went and got it for her. He is very sweet and loving! Friday night went really well. She ate at 11, 4, then not again till 6.

I love being a mom to two! I will have the real test of taking care of 2 kids on Monday when Aaron goes back to work. It will be a huge adjustment for all of us.

School is consuming much of my time this summer. I am taking two online classes. I was going to take the summer off, but I wanted to get as much school over with as I can before the next baby is born. In the fall I will be taking two online classes and then going to Lamar for two other classes. I am nervous about actually going back to campus. I have gotten out of the habit of having to study for tests. My online classes haven't been the easiest, but I still didn't have to study much for any of them. I am not taking any classes in the spring. I am not sure I will be able to manage school and two little ones.

Landon is finally walking everywhere. He had lots of fun playing with his cousins last weekend while they were in town for my dad's 60th birthday. My mom rented a big water slide. Landon liked trying to climb up it on the slide. Hopefully we will have a big "family fun" day each summer.

Landon has added a few words to his vocabulary. The latest one is "again". He says again to his daddy to let him know he wants to be thrown back up in the air.

Yesterday I went to another dr appointment. The baby's heartbeat is very strong. I love hearing that sound. Next time Aaron will actually be able to be with me. In 5 or 6 weeks we will be finding out what we are having. I'm pretty sure its a boy, or at least thats what I am trying to mentally prepare myself for. I will be happy as long as we have a healthy baby.

So last Saturday we had gone swimming with oldest sister and her two girls. Landon kept trying to put his head in the water to drink it, but twice he went too far and ended up breathing it in. The next day he got a croup cough. My brother in law, a respiratory therapist, said he would be ok, but to just watch for a fever. The next few days Landon wasn't really acting himself. Yesterday, I just knew I needed to take him in to the doctor because he was getting worse not better. My poor little one year old has bronchitis and pneumonia and on top of those two things, a sinus infection. I hate seeing my little one not feel good. His eyes were so swollen yesterday, I felt terrible for him. I am amazed, though, that he still manages to wrinkle up his nose and smile really big. I am blessed to have such a sweet little boy.

Today I got to hear our baby's heartbeat. It is such an amazing sound! 3 months down, 6 more to go. Bad thing is that I have gained 9.5 pounds in the first trimester. Still feeling pretty good. Main thing that is bothering me is that the smell of ground meat really makes me feel sick.

Well the reason I will be redecorating all of the bedrooms soon is to make room for Landon's little brother or sister!
I feel that its another boy this time. Mainly because I do not want to get my hopes up high for a little girl. If we have another boy, he will have Landon's jungle themed nursery and Landon will be getting a Thomas the Train theme room. I haven't decided if I want to switch Landon's room to the extra room if we have a girl. I may just let him have his current room until next summer, then redo his room. I do know I get to pick all of the girl nursery theme out because Aaron chose Landon's. If its a girl, the name will be Olivia. If its a boy then supposedly Aaron gets to choose because I chose Landon, but I do not like any of the names he suggests.

Aaron says its a boy. I told him that he knows he will spoil a little girl just like he spoils my niece Lily. He says that Lily is different. Lily is Lily- is all he had to say.

I am eating way more than I did when I was pregnant with Landon. I think it may have to do with that I was working 40 hours until a month before I had him. Being at home this time, gives me time to just snack constantly.

Friendship

Over the past few years I have had such a change in my closest friends. After I graduated I was still really close to my 2 best friends from high school and then my other best friend who I worked with. After getting married, we all slowly started to drift away from each other. One friend moved away to college and become the party girl she swore she would never become. One became extremely focused in college. The other married a marine, became a bartender, got divorced, and now just likes to work at the bar. They are all different than I had thought they would be. I have nothing in common with any of them. We all do talk on an occasion basis but we arent close any more at all. If I do hang out with them, I don't think that Aaron likes it because of how they act.

I love being a mom, but lately I have wanted some ME time. I have become so focused on taking care of Landon and being a good wife that I have started to loose myself in the process.

Yesterday I had a really fun craft time with a girl who I was best friends with in elementary school-the early part of high school. During high school, she was the one that was my best friend when I was going through tough times When my mom had cancer and when my grandmother died, she was always there to help me cope. The latter years of high school she and I didn't speak much at all. But now we are becoming friends again, which I am really happy about. She is pregnant with a baby girl due in April and married. I have so much in common with her. I am glad I have her to hang out with again.

Then last night Aaron and I went out to eat with a really fun couple from church. She is one of my only few friends at church. I hate it when she isn't there because then I don't really have anybody to talk to. I am glad that we have finally found another couple that are fun to hang out with.

My mom told me that I have to update my blog. So since I haven't blogged in forever. We will go back to the month of December:

My mom, Landon, and I went to Austin for Tye's birthday party. I was really glad we were able to go and celebrate with him. He calls me Lu-Lu and he the only one that could ever get away with it. My dad used to try to call me that but I always hated it, so when Tye was really little my dad told him to call me that and from that moment my name is Lu-Lu. I cant believe Tye is 4 years old!! I was his Nanny when he was about 6 months old, so I have always been close to him.

Landon got his first hair cut. It took two to trim his hair.
My family and my parents went to the Festival of Lights and the Aquarium at Moody Gardens. It was a lot of fun. We enjoyed walking around and looking at all the lights, although it was freezing!!

Christmas was interesting. Christmas Eve we had to take Landon to the minor care, then to the ER (for 10 minutes before the ER dr sent us home) because Landon had the croup cough. Although he wasnt feeling well, he was still being his happy self.

Landon got tons of presents for Christmas. Spoiled? yes, I know, but we like it that way!
Another Christmas present Landon got was a pool with balls in it. The cousins had so much fun playing in it as well. It was nice to be surrounded by the kids I love the most. My nieces and nephews are all so special to me!

Aaron and I enjoy going to baseball games and we thought it would be fun to take Landon. He was really good. He just got fussy towards the end when it got REALLY loud. He is not used to that much noise. I was suprised how loud it actually got---maybe its cause its the first game we have been to in a while where they actually won. Aarons aunt gave us a pair of tickets. They were between first and second base right by the Chick fil a 'fowl' line. The Astros hit it making a home run and also that meant all the fans could get free chicken sandwichs the next day. We are going to another game in September with friends of ours. Can't wait!!

saturday marked my 30 week mark. im getting more and more excited. everything has been going good. i just dont have much energy anymore. im working 40 hrs a week and just started taking 3 online classes. hopefully i wont over do it. i dont have to work, but i would feel guilty if i just sat at home while im capable.
i am getting BIGGER. i hope i dont gain too much more. im afraid i wont be able to loose all the baby weight.
i cant wait till i have my baby shower in february. then ill actually be able to know what i need to still buy. in about a month I will be able to set up the baby nursery.

On the 16th Aaron was FINALLY able to feel the baby kick. I think its made it seem a lot more real to him since he can now feel it. He had been the only one so far to feel it kick, until thanksgiving day. I really wanted Rachael to be able to feel it cause she doesnt have much time to visit down here. So after lots of patience, the baby kicked really hard. Rachael said it was cool. My mom hasnt been able to yet. I think he gets really stubborn and wont kick when he feels someones hand on my belly. He kicks quite a bit now and it always makes me smile, its amazing.
Monday i go in for the gestational diabetes test. hopefully i wont have it. i will just starve if i do, im such a picky eater. my mom says she had it with me and just changed her diet for the health of the baby. HOPEFULLY i wont even have to worry about it.

today aaron and i went to the houston dr appointment. we had to make sure that everything was normal with the heart, since i had a brother who died as a baby. everythings good with our little son. the dr was so nice over there! i had decided that i didnt want a 4d ultrasound. well this dr suprised by us flipping from a regular ultrasound to the 4d picture. it was neat, although the baby did look like an alien. so heres the coolest picture i have yet to see of our baby boy:

baby shopping is so much fun!! aaron and i went friday night and we both picked out a baby outfit for our son. then yesterday i went to do more shopping. if you have never been to texas kid company---u should go and look at all the cute things they have. i found a UT newborn cap and UT pacifires. when i was at the cash register, their computer system froze up. i was only there for 5 min but the owner told me to just not worry about. a little confused, i asked if i needed to sign for it. she said no that it was on them. so i got a $20 purchase for free!! i will totally go back and buy more. and i also got some more really cute baby outfits from another store.

yesterday i was also able to go out to my parents house and play with tye and kenadie before they left for Austin. I have missed those kids so much. they always make me smile. i miss hearing tye say "lu-lu come play! come chase me!"i wish they still lived close by so that i would be able to see them every week.

today was frustrating. i cant stand it when people critize a marriage. my husband was told today that the person felt sorry for him since he "married a kid" and that we "will never last!" i dont understand why people critize my age. yes i might only be 19, but im perfectly happily married. Anybody can look at us and tell that we love each other, are best friends, and encourage and help each other fulfill our potential. i love being a wife and even being able to cook every evening. i also hate it when a person completly ignores me for 2 whole hours, for no reason at all. also i had brought the new baby stuff over and that person didnt even care at all!!! at least they could have pretended to be interested. the only thing i can say is that it will be a long time before i go back to that house. I guess thats why i have my husband and MY family which are the most 2 important things in my life. i dont know what i would do without aaron, my parents, or my brothers and sisters. I love them so much. They have done so much for me.

On Wednesday, Nov 5 (this wednesday coming up) we get to find out what we are having. I think im having a boy just because of how much fun i think it would be to have a girl and i have terrbile luck! i will be happy either way. also we have a girls name picked out but cant agree on anything for a boy. the name i like aaron says is girly and since my brothers and dad always have to agree with aaron they say it is too. they are the only ones who dont like it. everyone else in my family loves the name. so wednesday also might begin the battle of the names.

Our Anniversary Trip

To celebrate our first anniversary, Aaron and I went to Riviera Cancun. It was so much fun! we stayed the the Secrets Capri Resort. Its considered the 2nd best resort in the Caribbean. and its one of the top ten out of 800+ resorts on around the world list by Expedia. Its all inclusive. It was all the food and drinks we wanted. We could get room service for free any time of the day. The food was amazing...and appetizer, dinner, and desert. The presentation of the food was pretty.

We went to Tulum to the Mayan Ruins and to Chichen-Itza (one of the 7 wonders of the new world. One day we went to Xel-Ha. Aaron is the greatest husband ever and let me do something i have always wanted to since i was a little child---SWIM WITH DOPLPHINS!! The week went by way to fast. I enjoyed being able to spend quality time with Aaron...just he and i. no work, no school.

Since im finally starting to show my pregnant belly, the concierge noticed and decided to decorate our room. So we walked to the room and this is what we found:

so im at my parents house. we knew it would be safer here than at the apartment. last night was so scary!!! the winds in nome were over 100. it ripped the boards off of almost every window. im so happy that we were blessed enough not to have a window blow out. my parents house did start to leak through the windows and from the light sockets. its because they lost all of the shingles on the back half of the roof. my parents house is in a huge field with nothing around it to protect it from the winds. i kept having flashbacks from the tornado my family and i were in during 1999. today the water pressure is very low---so taking a shower was quite a challenge. we drove to Beaumont and the west side on major doesn’t look bad at all. Our apartments fine. I don’t think I will ever try to stick out another hurricane again!!

my life is amazing! i have an amazing husband who loves me and i love him! he is so patient and understanding. i can complain all day long, and he wont ever let me know thats hes tired of hearing me. He makes me want to be a better person.

i have the greatest nieces and nephew. They always make me smile.

Busy Week

Saturday we went to one of Aarons cousins wedding:

Well last week was busy....lots of things went on. Friday was not a very good day. We found out that one of Aarons best friends had gotten killed in an auto-pedistrian accident. Its so hard for me to know what to say....so all i can really do is just be here for Aaron. Nick and Aaron were really close friends over the past few years. Aaron has the special honor to be one of the palbearers at Nicks funeral on Wednesday. I know that this week will be difficult on Aaron. Hes never had anybody close to him die. I know things happen for a reason, but it is still difficult for those having to deal with a tragedy.
